Suitable in rice cooker or microwave. If you use water instead of stock, please season your water with salt and pepper to taste.
METHOD
- RINSE rice in a sieve under cold water for 30 seconds. Drain well.
- HEAT saucepan over low heat. Add oil and onion, sauté for 1 minute. Add either protein or vegetables. Sauté for 2 minutes until par-cooked. Add enclosed packet of spices and packet of garlic and almond mix, sauté for 30 seconds or until golden brown.
- ADD washed rice and 2 cups stock. Stir well.
- COOK for 15 minutes over low heat with lid. Do not stir. Dish is ready when rice is cooked, soft and fluffy and liquid is absorbed.
