7 Genius Ways You Didn’t Know You Could Use Your TC Curry Pastes

Any Turban Chopsticks fan knows our curry pastes are an easy go-to when it comes to whipping up a quick and scrumptious curry for dinner.

In fact, when it comes to making a meal using our curry pastes, many don’t venture far beyond the packet instructions, because it’s usually the fastest route to food in the belly.

We understand!

But...what you may not realise is our curry pastes are so much more versatile and multi-talented than your average curry paste jar.

They’re little show-offs really…

In fact, with a bit of creativity you can create some pretty magical dishes and flavours that are just as easy to pull together as our standard curry recipes.

It’s all to do with the happy ingredients that go into each jar. Being a natural product filled with aromatic spices and flavours, makes it a suitable accompaniment, base or enhancement to all types of savoury meals.

A stirfry is everybody’s fave lazy meal and also a great way to use up those leftover veggies and bits & bobs in the fridge. Warning: once you stir fry with TC curry pastes it’s hard to go back, because they will take your average, sad lil’ stir fry to culinary greatness. Simply add a few tablespoons to your usual stir fry ingredients (e.g. veggies, chicken, rice, noodles, etc) and wok it up. Boom! Instant flavour punch, minus the fussing about with separate spices trying to get the right flavour profile.

You can add our curry pastes to your favourite dip base like yogurt, sour cream, coconut yoghurt, and tahini for an amazing DIY dip served with cheese, crackers, vegetables, grilled meats, seafood and tofu. Heck, dip and eat it straight from the jar with some carrot and celery sticks for a light savoury snack. We won’t judge...actually we’ll think more highly of you ;).

Turban Chopsticks Curry

Another place our TC curry pastes truly shine is when pimping out your everyday roast. Add all your typical roasting ingredients (like potatoes, pumpkin, beets, cauliflower, broccoli, meat and seafood) into a roasting pan, pour over a jar of your preferred curry paste, and bang it in the oven to get hot, steamy and devilishly good. Serve the roasting pan or tray in the middle of the table topping with some fresh herbs to share and feast with your loved ones.

Turban Chopsticks Curry

With the addition of fresh cream, coconut milk or stock you can transform any of our curry pastes into an incredible silky sauce to serve over your favourite meat, seafood or vegetables. Simply add a jar of curry paste to a small pot over low heat, add desired amount of chosen cream, milk or stock and let the two get intimate for a few minutes. Then pour over cooked meat, tofu and veg for a quick satisfying meal that takes virtually no effort but taste like heaven with a shade of naughty ;).
